How I ended up coaching.
I spent years in the gym getting nowhere, because nobody told me what was actually wrong. That's the gap I coach to now. Not more motivation, a clear plan and someone who tells you straight.
Before coaching I spent ten years in traffic control, working my way from traffic controller to operations coordination, then into business development, sales and managing people. I went all in on coaching, and three months later I was made redundant, a month before my wedding. I haven't wished away an hour since.
I'm Cert III and Cert IV qualified in fitness, and that business background shapes how I coach. I'm direct, I set clear targets, I follow up, and I don't sell people things they don't need.
I'm also a dad of three. Kids squeezed my own training to 5am, before the house wakes up, so I know what it's like to fit training around work, school runs and a week that never goes to plan. That's why every program I write is built around the week you've actually got, not a perfect one.
Mataya came through Zero BS Coaching as a client before she joined as a coach, so she knows the system from the inside. She coaches in person with me at Lynbrook. Online coaching anywhere in Australia is with me.
